I just came across Google’s new 411 service that is absolutely free! It’s not only free, but it’s more robust than anything else on the market. Watch the video below to find out how to use it. If you just want to start using it now, just call 1-800-GOOG-411 (800-466-4411).

Maximizing Your Income Through Leverage

Efficiency, Entrepreneurship No Comments »

I just read a brilliant post by Rich Schefren on the value of leverage in your daily activities, primarily your business and relationships. After reading the post I had two major breakthroughs for our new venture, Credit Concierge, and know that they will produce exponential returns for us as we get out of the gate and to profitability.

I would encourage you to read the post and take a few minutes afterward assessing your current activities and how you may apply the concept of leverage to them to create exponentially greater gains. You can read it here: Leverage: Maximize Your Income In Minimum Time

Free Tool To Convert File Types

Efficiency No Comments »

I’ve always felt that sending business documents in pdf format instead of word or excel looked and presented a more polished and professional image.  It’s also much safer since the pdf’s cannot be edited very easily, nearly impossible for most users, and the formatting stays consistent across platforms, unlike word documents.

For a couple years now I’ve been using PrimoPdf which is a free program that converts any file type to pdf.  They have an online version as well for those of you using computers that cannot download software to.  It works well 95% of the time and is a great alternative to buying $200 software from Adobe.

I just stumbled upon another online tool that supersized what PrimoPdf could do.  It’s called Zamzar and it not only converts to pdf, but it can convert to just about any other file type imaginable.  It also converts audio and video files as well.  It’s completely free, too!

Amazing Blogging Tool

Efficiency No Comments »

I just came across the most amazing tool of all time to make writing blog posts about 1,000% easier.  It’s called ScribeFire and works in the free FireFox web browser (which is much more user friendly and infinitely safer than plain old Internet Explorer).  You download the free ScribeFire software and click on the link in the bottom right corner of FireFox after it’s installed.  Click on the ‘blog wizard’ on the right side to enter your blog login info and you’re good to go.

When you get inspired to post something to your blog, simply click on the little paper and pencil icon in the bottom right corner of FireFox and an editor box pops up for you to enter a title and content to.  It’s full featured with everything you’d need to publish a full post like any blog platform you currently use.  You can have it post to different blogs you setup through the wizard and also select which category you want it to post under in the ‘Tags’ section of the editor.  When you’re done, just click on ‘Publish’ at the bottom of the editor and the rest is history.

Don’t Get Fooled Again

Efficiency No Comments »

Courtesy of Seth Godin:

Next time you get an email (copied to all your friends plus people you don’t know) warning you about some horrible computer virus, some sick kid collecting greeting cards or the National Do Not Call List, don’t just blindly follow instructions and then forward to everyone you know.

Instead, go to Google and type in the word “snopes” followed by the gist of the cause or the event or emergency (ie: Bill Gates giving money for emails). Snopes will then tell you whether it’s a hoax or not. Save you and your list a whole lot of time.  It’s one step you can take to stop the cycle of these never ending urban legends from spreading.
